Obama also offered to show his live birth video at the White House Correspondents Association Dinner Saturday night, which turned out to be a clip from the Disney film, The Lion King.

The White House Correspondents' Association dinner has traditionally been a show where the Washington establishment pokes fun at itself. Last night, President Obama served GOP presidential contender Donald Trump.

"No one is happier ? prouder ? to put this birth certificate matter to rest than the Donald," Obama quipped, "and that's because he can finally get back to issues that matter, like, did we fake the moon landing?"

The Donald grinned at the president, who was clearly seeking the last laugh after Trump's repeated questioning of Obama's birthplace led the president to release his long-form birth certificate last week.

Trump wasn't quite so pleased by remarks at his expense by the dinner's host, comedian Seth Meyers of Saturday Night Live.

"Donald Trump has been saying he'll run for president as a Republican, which is surprising, because I just thought he was running as a joke," Meyers said.

It wasn't all Trump-bashing, though. Meyers took aim at Obama, too.

"So it's not a strong field," Meyers opened. "And who knows if they can beat you in 2012, but I tell you who could definitely beat you, Mr. President: 2008 Barack Obama. You would have loved him."

We should note that the president also had a little fun at NPR's expense.

"I know you were a little tense when the GOP tried to cut your funding," he said. "But personally, I was looking forward to new programming, like No Things Considered."
